  Obtain 10-20 mg of villi in a sterile container which contains sterile transport medium.

  Collect the tissue (villi, placenta, or recognizable fetal parts) in a sterile container which contains sterile balanced salt solution, transport media, or sterile saline.

  Collect blood in sterile tube containing SODIUM heparin.
  
  Children to adults: 2-5 mL.
  
  Newborn (birth to 7 days): Attempt to draw 1-2 mL within 12 hours of birth (the earlier the better).

  Collect 2-5 mL of blood in sterile tube containing SODIUM heparin.

  Collect at least 33 mL of Urine in a sterile container. Mix urine at a 2:1 ratio with either CarboWax or PreservCyt. Refrigerate the specimen.

  Take a deep 3mm³ biopsy (small pea size) including dermal layer and transfer to a tube containing sterile balanced salt solution, transport media, or sterile saline.
• Solid Tumor / Lymph Node Solid Tumor / Lymph Node
  
  Collect the solid tumor or lymph node in a sterile container which contains sterile balanced salt solution, transport media, or sterile saline.
• Pleural Effusions / Ascites / Fine Needle AspiratePleural Effusions / Ascites / Fine Needle Aspirate
  
  Collect in sterile transport medium with RPMI.
• Paraffin EmbeddedParaffin Embedded
  
  Slides should be prepared from a paraffin block with a preferred thickness of 3 -5 microns. Slides should be positively charged.

Collect marrow aspirate in a sterile vacutainer tube containing SODIUM heparin or RPMI 1640 media with SODIUM heparin.

Children to adults: 2-5 mL

Newborn (birth to 7 days): 0.5 mL or more

Collect in sterile transport medium with RPMI.
